Hayes started the whole Mr.T thing
The first and funkyest of Isaac Hayes’ albums. This is true funk — jam-style tunes that go on and on… sometimes without even a chord change! And the voice! Man, this is deep stuff. Pretty hard to find too, I’m told.
Hayes’s second disc, “…to be continued” is of the same substance. He then proceeded onto a slippery slope — like from cheese fat — one that in my mind only Barry White has managed to succesfully navigate.
