The day I felt farthest from home

So! You’re new to the Show and you’re asking yourself, “Is this site in French or in English?” Well, this is Montréal baby! The hot stuff happens in any language! Our site is merely a reflection of the city it was conceived in.

Some bits are english, some bits are not — it’s an essential part of the vibe! You’ll find your way around eventually, we promise.

That reminds me of the day I felt farthest from home…

Montréal seen from the skies

I was in Toronto (big city in English Canada) working with a photographer friend, and one evening he takes me to eat at this little Indian shop. Well it was more like a counter — anyways, we’re talking my friend and I, and suddently one guy asks us: “What language are you speaking?”. Seebwear! It’s French, Sir!

So maybe you’re feeling a bit like this guy, but worry not, cuz our pals at Google want to make the Earth a friendly place. With Google Translate, you can read French, or Hindi, and be part of the party as if you were there!

Note: French is the 12th most spoken language in Toronto, Canada’s economic capital. In Montréal, the cultural capital, over 50% of people speak French.

Find Google Translate in the bar at the bottom of our pages (for mobiles, look in the right sidebar)

  1. I need to say, youve got one with the greatest blogs Ive seen in a lengthy time. What I wouldnt give to have the ability to build a blog thats as fascinating as this. I guess Ill just have to keep reading yours and hope that one day I can write on a topic with as much information as youve got on this 1!

Well thank you! It’s a lot of work! I rewrote some of the first articles too; the whole thing got a little carried away! This particular site was born in June 2010, but before that I was an active participant in a long-lasting forum that closed last year. I missed it. You are always welcome!
